Authentic Stories from Diners
Had lunch with the family today at The Vine and wow just wow. The restaurant/venue is absolutely beautiful. The place looks amazing from the entrance to the seating area. We got a booth near the window and the seating area was perfect for us 5. Staff were super friendly and helpful. They got the kids colouring activities to do while we were waiting for our food. We had a booking at 1.15 and you then have a 2 hour slot which were thought was perfect. The kids menu was very very good and the kids had a good amount of choices and they were all very very tasty. We (me and my wife) had a sharing board for our starters and wow it was perfect and absolutely tasty. Highly recommend 👌. Then my wife got a light meal (macaroni) which was very very good. I got the burger that was very juicy and super tasty. We then had a sharing pudding and that again was perfect. The kids had pancakes and a unicorn sundae 🍨 to share. You will see all the amazing food in the images. We will be back 100% highly recommend to everyone.
We visited The Vine for lunch and unfortunately left quite disappointed, especially considering the prices charged. One of the most surprising things was the complete lack of any quality check during the meal. No one came to ask whether the food was satisfactory or if anything was needed, which felt poor from a service perspective. The main issue was the Iron Steak Taco dish priced at £20.95. For that price, the portion and presentation were extremely underwhelming. The steak itself was flavourless and lacked any real seasoning. On the side there was little more than some lettuce and a small amount of red cabbage, again with no noticeable seasoning or effort. Overall, the dish felt very basic and certainly not representative of a nearly £21 main course. On a more positive note, my wife’s mac & cheese was perfectly fine and enjoyable enough. Overall, the experience did not reflect the pricing, and the lack of attention from staff during the meal added to the disappointment.
Food was delicious and plentiful. All staff attentive, friendly and chatty however Sonny's customer service was excellent and consistent with all his table covers throughout our dining including ourselves . Menu choice slightly different from other Buzzworks but as always chef attention to detail and presentation excellent while food being hot and good portions.
