The Swan Restaurant - Troon

Courtesy? None whatsoever. I initially told the guy at the bar that we wanted our food to go, but then I changed my mind and told him we would eat inside instead. Eventually, he took our order, we paid, and he told us to wait at a table. About 10 minutes later, our food arrived, all packed in a bag. He simply threw the bag on the table and walked away. We thought, "Fine," and started eating. A moment later, he came back and told us we had to leave because we weren't allowed to eat inside. (I'd like to mention that we were construction workers on our lunch break, still wearing our work clothes.) I asked him why, and he said, "You paid for takeaway, not to eat here." I replied, "No, I told you we wanted to eat here." He insisted it wasn't possible and that we had to leave. He then took our food from the table and forced us to leave. In the end, I definitely do not recommend this place. Absolutely terrible customer service. Congratulations!!!

My Dad and I have been going to The Swan every week for about 5 weeks now and each time the food is delicious and the staff are very friendly too. Haven't managed to catch the owner's name yet though but he is very attentive and chatty as well. Maybe one day I will manage a desert!

Highly recommend! The staff are super nice, very friendly atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble ♥️ Popped in for lunch today with my husband and our kids and had a superb lunch. Reminds me of simpler times, good cooked food with lovely people inside and the prices are excellent too 😁 Will be back soon 🥰
